Physical LNG Trader

About the role

Opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, as part of a high performing team with a growing global footprint in the LNG industry.

Reporting to the Head of Physical LNG Trading, this role will be primarily focused on physical trading of LNG. The successful applicant will be responsible for a wide number of activities, from the origination of physical trading opportunities, to the negotiation and execution of LNG contracts. They will also be expected to propose and facilitate physical portfolio optimization opportunities in conjunction with the operations department, always ensuring smooth delivery of the physical portfolio. In addition, they will interact closely with financial traders regarding financial market aspects and pricing of deals, and also will deal with support functions as required, including legal, credit, risk, controlling etc

Job requirements and experience

Key skills/experience required for the role are as follows:

• At least 3 years of experience in physical LNG markets
• Excellent understanding of LNG physical and financial markets, including pricing, indexes etc Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team
• Existing network of contacts in LNG physical markets
• Quantitative analytical skills will be valued
• Dynamic and entrepreneurial personality, ability to think out of the box, and willingness to take calculated risk
