As a Pet Care Specialist, you are the heart of the Everpet experience. You are the first point of contact for families and will guide them through one of the most emotional moments of their lives with calmness, empathy, and professionalism.
This is a client-facing, hands-on role that combines emotional care, service excellence, and operational execution. You will journey with families from the first conversation through the farewell ceremony, ensuring every detail is handled with intention and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
Client Care & First Touchpoint
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families (calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins).
- Guide families through service options clearly and confidently, helping them make decisions without overwhelm.
- Provide emotional reassurance and hold space for grieving pet owners with empathy and composure.
- Manage client expectations while upholding Everpet's premium positioning and standards.
End-to-End Client Journey Management
- Take ownership of each assigned case from intake to aftercare.
- Coordinate scheduling, service flow, and all touchpoints to ensure a seamless experience.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively guide them through each step of the journey.
- Act as the bridge between the family and operations team to ensure flawless execution.
Farewell Ceremony & Family Experience
- Prepare and facilitate farewell sessions in memorial rooms (VIP Garden Hall / Starry Room).
- Guide families through the farewell process, including final moments, messages, and rituals.
- Support or deliver simple eulogies, prompts, or guidance when families are unsure what to do.
- Ensure the environment (lighting, flowers, setup) aligns with Everpet's standard of beauty and dignity.
Pet Care & Preparation
- Perform gentle grooming, cleaning, and preparation of pets for farewell.
- Handle pets with the utmost respect, treating every pet as a beloved family member.
- Ensure presentation aligns with Everpet's premium and healing experience.
Operational Execution (Hands-on)
- Support pet transfers and collection when required.
- Assist with water cremation processes and post-cremation handling when needed.
- Work closely with Operations Specialists to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records.
Aftercare & Client Closure
- Conduct ash handovers with professionalism and sensitivity.
- Explain keepsakes, urns, and aftercare processes clearly.
- Provide reassurance and closure, ensuring families leave with peace of mind and no regrets.
Brand & Service Excellence
- Uphold Everpet's image as a premium, compassionate, and modern pet funeral provider.
- Maintain personal grooming, composure, and communication standards at all times.
- Deliver a consistent, high-quality experience that families will remember and recommend.
Salary Package
Basic salary from $2800 - $3200 + Incentives + Overtime pay
Requirements
- Strong emotional intelligence and able to remain calm and composed in grief-heavy situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in speaking with clients and guiding conversations.
- Comfortable handling pets of all sizes with care and respect.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases.
- Willing to work on a rotation basis, including weekends and public holidays.
- Able to be on night standby for urgent or after-hours cases when required.
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, healthcare, or funeral services is advantageous.
- Possesses a valid Class 3/3A driving licence (preferred).
