Job Summary
As a Pet Care Sales Assistant, you will engage customers with product knowledge, assist with sales transactions, manage stock, and maintain a clean and organized store environment to support excellent customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional customer service by recommending appropriate pet care products to meet customer needs
- Operate the cash register accurately to process customer purchases
- Receive incoming stock shipments and organize products on shelves efficiently
- Monitor product expiry dates and remove expired items to ensure product safety
- Pack customer orders carefully to prepare products for delivery or pickup
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store through daily housekeeping tasks
- Apply basic knowledge of pet care and nutrition to assist customers effectively
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support store operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Ability to work retail operational hours including weekends and public holidays
- Capability to carry loads up to 10kg using trolley assistance and willingness to travel
