Performance Tester

Job Description:

Design and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts related to application performance, capacity, and resiliency.

- Analyze, review, and present performance results with recommendations to delivery teams and business groups.

- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to troubleshoot and improve identified performance bottlenecks.

- Document software defects using JIRA and report them to software developers.

- Plan test schedules and strategies in line with project scope and delivery dates.

- Establish and uphold standards for high-quality test approaches and execution parameters.

- Maintain a common documentation library of standardized processes and procedures.

- Communicate project/program status, risks, and impacts clearly, both formally and informally, escalating issues when appropriate.

- Work in an agile development environment, collaborating with teams to deliver quality software iteratively.

Technical Requirements:

- Experience in performance testing with LoadRunner/Performance Center/Load Runner Enterprise, including scripting, scenario creation, execution, and analysis.

- Proficiency in Application Performance Monitoring solutions such as Aternity APM, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, etc.

- Ability to monitor and gather system resource statistics during test execution.

- Competence in translating performance requirements/specifications into effective test scripts and scenarios.

- Preferred working knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, XML, SQL, Unix shell, Microsoft Visual Basic, WSI).

- Strong communication skills to convey advanced technical issues to both technical staff and management.

- Capability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.

- Ability to make independent judgments/decisions within established guidelines.

- Experience in implementing standard processes, tools, and metrics to deliver large-scale projects from inception to completion, meeting quantifiable business objectives.

- Demonstrate a team-driven attitude, ready to innovate, collaborate, and resolve issues.

GenAI Knowledge and Tools: - Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and tools for enhancing performance testing workflows.

- Ability to leverage GenAI-based solutions for: - Automating test script generation.

- Predictive analysis of performance bottlenecks.

- Intelligent reporting and summarization of test results.

- Understanding of AI-driven observability and monitoring tools to optimize system performance. - Awareness of ethical AI practices and compliance when integrating GenAI into testing processes.
