The People Technology Project Manager is a member of the People Technology team responsible for driving and leading major HR initiatives, including a HRMS implementation. This role partners with the People Technology Team, IT, vendors, and the steering committee, guiding the project through readiness, design, execution, and rollout. The Project Manager plays a strategic role in shaping project direction, managing workstreams, and ensuring successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Implementation (Readiness & Planning)

  • Lead the definition of project prerequisites, including process mapping, data strategy, governance, and resource planning.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across HR sub-functions to ensure readiness for the HRMS implementation.
  • Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and requirements definition.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, risk assessments, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Identify organizational readiness gaps and propose mitigation strategies.

Implementation (Execution & Delivery)

  • Oversee project execution across all phases, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and quality standards are met.
  • Serve as a core member of the HRMS project team, working closely with stakeholders and the steering committee to guide decision-making.
  • Lead coordination with vendors and technical teams during design, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Oversee testing cycles (SIT, UAT), ensuring scenario coverage, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Lead data migration strategy, validation, cutover planning, and post-go-live reconciliation.
  • Prepare senior-level reporting, dashboards, and governance materials for leadership and steering committee updates.
  • Drive structured change management, communication plans, and user readiness strategies.

Ongoing HR Project Leadership

  • Lead continuous improvement and optimization initiatives across HR processes and systems.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to project team members and HR workstream leads.
  • Influence system and process strategy within the People Technology roadmap.
  • Ensure strong partnerships with HR, IT, and vendor stakeholders to sustain long-term system effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • More than 7 years of HR project management, HRIS, HR transformation, or related experience.
  • Minimum 2 full end-to-end HRMS implementation cycles, preferably in a project lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with senior stakeholders and governance bodies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive complex, cross-functional HR system programs.
  • Deep familiarity with cloud HR applications (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle, ServiceNow).
  • Expertise in data migration planning, testing governance, and system rollout management.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience implementing or integrating automation, AI tools, or digital workflow solutions.
  • Demonstrated strength in project management, leading large-scale HR system implementations, managing governance structures, and driving delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including steering committee presentations.
  • Change management experience (e.g., Prosci certification or equivalent).
