Job Description

The People, Culture Manager is responsible for building a people-first workplace and a credible learning engine for Evvo Labs.

The People, Culture Manager is responsible for building a people-first workplace and a credible learning engine for Evvo Labs.

The role combines two key accountabilities:

  1. People & Culture Lead - owning the full people lifecycle, culture, and employee experience for all staff in Evvo Labs.
  2. Head of Tevvo Academy - leading an Academy business unit that delivers learning and development (L&D) services to:
  • internal employees, and
  • external clients on a paid, commercial basis.

This role balances people care, organisational performance, and a commercial mindset. It partners closely with leadership, guides managers on people matters, and ensures that the Academy becomes a recognised internal and external brand for learning.

Responsibilities

People & Culture

  • Translate group / business strategy into a people plan (workforce, skills, culture, engagement).
  • Own the employee journey in from attraction to exit, including a structured onboarding experience.
  • Lead recruitment for critical roles work with hiring managers on profiles, selection criteria, and country-compliant offers and contracts.
  • Run performance management processes and coach managers on feedback, performance issues, and career development.
  • Design and run engagement and recognition activities act as a trusted contact point for employees on workplace concerns.
  • Manage rewards, benefits, policies, and the employee handbook ensure compliance with labour law.
  • Handle employee relations cases (warnings, disputes, grievances, investigations, terminations) and maintain complete documentation.
  • Oversee HR operations, payroll inputs and people data produce regular dashboards for leadership (headcount, attrition, hiring, engagement, training).

Academy

  • Define the Academy strategy and business plan, including annual revenue, cost, and margin targets.
  • Develop and maintain a clear Academy offering for internal learners (onboarding, role-based, leadership, compliance) and external clients (courses, workshops, customised programmes).
  • Design key learning journeys for employees and oversee content quality for external training products.
  • Build and manage a trainer pool (internal subject-matter experts and external trainers) and select suitable delivery formats (on-site, virtual, blended).
  • Work with Sales / Account Management to identify, propose, and secure Academy opportunities with clients lead scoping and pricing of engagements.
  • Oversee delivery quality and client satisfaction for Academy projects track Academy performance (revenue, margin, utilisation, NPS) and report to management.
  • Manage the L&D calendar and budget, ensure completion of mandatory training, and update leadership on L&D progress and outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Education or related field.
  • HR and/or L&D certifications (e.g. local HR certificates, training and facilitation certifications) are a plus.

Experience

  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in HR / People & Culture roles, including at least 3 years in a managerial or stand-alone HR lead role.
  • Solid track record in L&D:
  1. Building or running internal training programmes, academies or learning centres, and/or
  2. Delivering or managing paid training for external clients.
  • Experience working with senior leaders and managers in a professional services, technology, or similar environment is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of labour law, HR processes, and common market practices.
  • Good understanding of adult learning principles and training design.
  • Commercial awareness - able to think in terms of product, pricing, utilisation, and margin for the Academy.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Confident presenter and facilitator for internal sessions and client workshops.
  • Strong stakeholder management: able to influence and challenge respectfully.
  • Organised and structured, able to manage both HR operations and Academy projects in parallel.
  • Comfortable working with data (people metrics, training data, simple financials) and converting findings into decisions.
