Upper Elementary as main responsibility but would also be teaching lower elementary when necessary.

Our client, a newly established international school in Singapore backed by one of the world's leading private school institutions, is seeking a passionate and experienced Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join its academic team.

The successful candidate will teach upper elementary students and play a key role in promoting physical literacy, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that promote physical literacy, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse physical abilities, interests, and developmental stages of students
  • Collaborate with homeroom and subject teachers to integrate PE with Units of Inquiry, reinforcing transdisciplinary learning
  • Use a range of assessments to monitor students physical, social, and emotional development and provide constructive feedback
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where all students are motivated to participate
  • Promote values such as sportsmanship, resilience, cooperation, and respect through structured activities
  • Organize and lead sports days, inter-house events, and extracurricular physical activities
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and healthy habits
  • Stay updated on best practices in PE pedagogy, child development, and student wellness
  • Contribute to the wider school community through collaboration, meetings, and professional development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience teaching PE, preferably in an international school setting
  • Experience teaching upper elementary or primary students
  • Familiarity with the IB PYP framework or inquiry-based learning approaches
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive practices in physical education
  • Experience organizing sports events, extracurricular activities, or after-school programs
  • Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • A proactive self-starter with a passion for promoting lifelong health, fitness, and well-being in children
