PCB Design Engineer - German MNC - Jurong East

A global technology company with a newly established Singapore R&D Competence Center focused on sensor technology and power electronics for industrial, energy, and green mobility applications. The R&D team in Singapore is newly created and will be focusing on sensors development as well as energy meters development.

PCB Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

. Manage PCB layout design using Cadence Allegro, ensuring designs meet electrical, mechanical and manufacturing requirements.

. Support hardware engineers with schematic capture, component placement and PCB design throughout the development cycle.

. Conduct PCB layout design reviews and prepare/release complete PCB and manufacturing documentation.

. Develop and maintain CAD libraries, symbols, footprints and 3D models, working with mechanical engineers on design constraints.

. Liaise with PCB manufacturers and production/process engineers to resolve design and assembly issues and ensure project timelines are met.

Key Requirements

. Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with at least 5 years of PCB layout design experience.

. Hands-on experience with Cadence Allegro, Altium or similar PCB design tools.

. Good understanding of PCB design, component placement, routing and manufacturing processes.

. Knowledge of IPC-2221, with experience in high-speed, mixed-signal, power or RF board design being an advantage.

. Strong communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and manage project deadlines.
