Job Summary
The Payment Risk Strategy Manager will own end-to-end payment risk strategy and monitoring, covering channel risk, fund-flow/routing risk, and transaction anomaly detection. This role partners closely with Payment Operations, Settlement, and Data to translate risk signals into executable controls, improve fund safety, and strengthen channel stability and performance.
Job Scope
- Own the payment risk monitoring framework covering channel risk, fund-flow/routing risk, concentration risk, and transaction anomaly detection.
- Design and implement risk strategies and controls (e.g., channel throttling, traffic de-prioritization, risky channel isolation, abnormal transaction blocking).
- Lead payment channel risk assessments (stability, settlement reliability, freeze/delay history) and drive mitigation actions with Payment Ops and Settlement.
- Partner with the Data team to define risk KPIs and build alerting/early-warning mechanisms; continuously optimize rules based on performance results.
Job Requirements
- 38 years of experience in payment risk strategy / payment fraud risk / payment monitoring with clear strategy ownership.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows (routing settlement reconciliation) and channel operations.
- Proven ability to translate risk signals into executable rules/controls and iterate based on data outcomes.
- Preferred industry background: PSP/payment companies, fintech, or crypto exchanges (with payment/fund-flow risk exposure).
- Nice to have: SQL and/or Python; experience working with rule engines, monitoring/alerting, or payment platforms.
- Comfortable to use english and chinese as daily working language to work with chinese-speaking candidate
