Core Value of the Role You will be responsible for the technical integration and optimization of payment channels in the Indonesian market, participating in the development of a highly available and resilient cross-border payment system. This role serves top clients in e-commerce, digital entertainment, and retail, covering both online and offline payment scenarios.
Responsibilities
- For the new retail industry, deliver integrated online/offline acquiring solutions, with strong familiarity in mainstream offline acquiring methods such as POS acquiring and QR code acquiring.
- Maintain strong communication with local new retail clients to understand industry requirements; ensure smooth internal information sharing and collaboration, while providing technical support for integration.
- Lead the integration and testing of Indonesian payment channels (e.g., QRIS, BI-FAST, RTOL, SKN, RTGS, local cards, international cards, and e-wallets such as Dana, OVO, ShopeePay, GoPay), ensuring delivery according to business timelines.
- Monitor the stability of payment flows, troubleshoot abnormalities (e.g., channel outages, performance bottlenecks, customer complaints), and drive optimization in collaboration with both channel partners and internal teams.
- Communicate regularly with local merchants and payment providers, offering technical support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Act as a key R&D contributor, independently driving cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely rollout of pilot projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field.
- 13 years of hands-on development experience in payment systems (payment gateway/acquiring platform/channel gateway), familiar with offline acquiring (POS, QR), and core payment flows (sign-up, payment, clearing, reconciliation).
- Proven experience in channel integration; strong risk awareness; familiarity with disaster recovery, idempotency, and data consistency design in distributed systems.
- Proficient in Java (high-concurrency and distributed system design); hands-on Golang experience is a plus.
- Familiar with RocketMQ, Redis, and database sharding & partitioning.
- Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and Chinese; ability to collaborate with headquarters in Chinese is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of integrated online/offline acquiring solutions in the new retail industry, with hands-on knowledge of mainstream offline acquiring methods.
- Direct experience integrating local e-wallets (Dana, OVO, ShopeePay, GoPay).
- Previous work experience in cross-border payment companies.
- Experience in payment stability improvement or fraud/loss prevention projects.
- Familiarity with Indonesian payment compliance requirements (Bank Indonesia, OJK, ASPI) and strong compliance awareness.
