Job Description

OSL is seeking a versatile, high-execution Payment Business Operations Lead to act as the primary operational engine bridging revenue growth with back-end infrastructure. Positioned at the critical junction between sales, compliance, legal, and engineering, this role is built for a master problem-solver who excels in fast-paced fintech environments.

This position offers location flexibility across Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Singapore, and requires complete bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.

You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of operational friction: stepping into complex, non-standard deal blockages, constructing manual operational bridges to secure revenue, codifying those solutions into repeatable SOPs, and partnering with product teams to build permanent automated software features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Escalation & Edge-Case Resolution: Serve as the single point of contact for complex, high-friction scenarios across merchant onboarding, KYC/KYB reviews, custom payment routing, and FX settlements. Coordinate directly with compliance, legal, and banking partners to evaluate risk exposures and formulate compliant, temporary workarounds that keep high-value deals moving forward.
  • Cross-Functional Governance & SOP Architecture: Identify recurring operational bottlenecks and transform chaotic workflows into clean, standardized SOPs. Define clear boundary rules for sales teams regarding pre-approved custom terms, conditional approval escalation paths, and non-negotiable risk limits to minimize friction between front-line revenue reps and control functions.
  • Operational Intelligence & Product Automation Input: Act as the primary voice of business operations to the product and technology organizations. Systematically track, quantify, and translate manual workarounds into prioritized product requirements (PRDs), driving the roadmap toward higher auto-approval rates and zero-touch exception handling.
  • Cross-Border & Partner Execution: Engage with external liquidity providers, acquiring partners, and banking channels to negotiate operational operational flexibility for non-standard enterprise merchant profiles.

Qualifications

  • Specialized Domain Expertise: 8+ years of experience in cross-border B2B payments or high-growth fintech platforms. Strong working knowledge of global AML/KYC frameworks, payment gateway mechanics, FX clearing, and international card network or local payout rules.
  • Bilingual Communication Mastery: Professional proficiency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese. Ability to articulate nuanced risk trade-offs clearly to regional compliance teams, global banking partners, and C-suite leadership.
  • Stakeholder Management & High EQ: Proven track record of navigating conflicting priorities between aggressive, target-driven sales teams and risk-averse compliance and legal officers, finding pragmatic solutions without compromising governance.
  • Systems Thinking & Process Engineering: Exceptional analytical capability with a track record of auditing unstructured, high-friction operational environments and structuring them into clear, scalable execution steps.
  • Entrepreneurial & Autonomous Mindset: Comfort with ambiguity in an early-to-growth stage startup context, taking absolute ownership over operational issues from initial discovery to systemic resolution.

About OSL

OSL is the first SFC-licensed digital asset platform in Hong Kong and a PayFi innovator. Through stablecoin payments, cross-border settlement and global licensing, we are building the next-generation payments network. Stablecoins have become everyday money across emerging markets and are widely viewed as blockchain's killer app, with industry focus shifting from token issuance to real-world consumer and enterprise payment adoption. The strongest growth lies in cross-border B2B payments, where providers embedding stablecoins into corporate settlement flows can capture significant volume and float. Long-term defensibility comes from regulatory licences, banking partners and cross-border corridors.

OSL holds or has acquired licences in Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, Bermuda and Indonesia, and is expanding into Europe, Brazil, Southeast Asia and Africa through acquisitions and licence applications. With OSL Pay and StableX, we embed stablecoin settlement into bank accounts and card networks, support 150+ digital assets, and provide 24/7 fiat–stablecoin conversion. As a regulated pioneer with a startup mindset, we believe the future of payments will be driven by real adoption and scalable deployment, not technology narratives. We welcome builders who are passionate about crypto and payments to join us in shaping compliant, global payment infrastructure.
