Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of desserts by measuring and mixing ingredients
  • Monitor baking procedures and times, and apply glazes, icings, or other toppings using spatulas or brushes
  • Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers and proof boxes
  • Assist in developing new recipes under the supervision of a Senior Baker or Pastry Chef
  • Maintain cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Rotate products in storage to maintain freshness

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a relevant role is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process.
  • Ability to use baking tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with an eye for aesthetics.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods.
  • Certification in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field is a plus.
