Job Description
This person is responsible in representing the pastors office by being a pastoral presence and providing leadership in Family Life Ministry, which comprises of Marriage Preparation Class, Marriage Enrichment, Marriage Mentoring, Faith Driven Parenting, Cradle Roll, and Church Camp.
In addition, this person is expected to work together with other ministries within Wesley that work in tandem with FLM.
Responsibilities
- Have regular conversations with key leaders outside of committee meetings to care for them. Work closely alongside them to chart ministry direction and oversee development and execution. Proactively plan how the ministries should be shaped according to the vision/mission of FLM.
- Develop existing and future leaders within the ministry (including recruitment).
- Programmes / Classes:
- Assess to ensure efficacy
- Help with teaching where necessary.
- Lead and oversee the admin staff under FLM.
- Ensure timelines are drawn out and adhered to
- Provide clarity on the necessary processes
- Registrations (Classes/ Talks/ Church Camp)
- Ads/ announcements for Comms/ Media
- Vetting of minutes and articles
- Work in tandem with other ministries in Wesley
- NextGen ministries: reach the parents of our children/ tweens/ youth
- Baptism & Membership: conduct session for Infant/ Child/ Special Baptism Preparation (ICSBP)
- Any other future collaborations
- Attend important events by Focus on the Family Singapore
Requirements
- Bachelor of Divinity (BD) or Master of Divinity (MDiv)
- Trained and accredited for Prepare & Enrich (Marriage assessment tool)
- Able to collaborate well with different groups of people
- Consultative leadership (able to effect change in dialogue with others)
- Familiarity with course materials and content
