The overall mission is to understand the emergence of novel topological properties of magnons in and magnetortransport in chiral metallic magnets as proposed in the Tier 3 grant. This is aligned with the New Knowledge mission of the University.
Construct microscopic models of low lying excitations in quantum magnets, study their properties using analytical and numerical methods, predict experimental signatures of topological magnon bands in chiral metallic magnets.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for achieving theory targets in the Tier 2 proposal
Formulate microscopic models of chiral metallic magnets, devise numerical methods of simulation
The RF will be responsible for meeting the targets detailed in the Tier 2 proposal.
