With over 40 years of full time experience in piano & keyboard teaching, we are now specialised and dedicated to teaching group keyboard music classes for children through our every own FUN WITH KEYBOARD course. Music is a never-ending journey and we are more than excited to guide you in your very own musical adventure. We have witnessed students of different age groups (from 5-12 years) becoming confident young musicians after joining us.
Job Summary
You will teach children to play piano and keyboard using our FUN WITH KEYBOARD course, helping them build confidence and basic skills in a supportive group setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging piano and keyboard lessons to children following the FUN WITH KEYBOARD curriculum to build foundational skills and confidence
- Adapt teaching methods to individual student learning needs within group classes to maximise student engagement and progress
- Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to develop their musical abilities
- Communicate student progress effectively with the Principal to support learning outcomes
- Manage class discipline and ensure smooth, effective conduct of music lessons
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum Grade 8 Practical Piano
- Minimum Grade 5 Music Theory
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Demonstrate commitment and responsibility in fulfilling teaching duties
- Exhibit an energetic and outspoken personality to engage young learners effectively
- Show enthusiasm for teaching piano and keyboard to children
- Apply effective communication skills to maintain student interest and parental engagement
- Previous experience teaching piano or keyboard is advantageous but not mandatory
Other Information
- Flexible working hours with a minimum commitment of 2 hours per week
- Schedule options include weekday evenings (Mon-Fri) and weekend mornings/afternoons (Sat-Sun)
- Choice of teaching locations in Tampines, Pasir Ris, Sengkang, Punggol, Redhill
