Part-Time Lecturer for EE6508 Power Quality
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified candidates to apply as Part-Time Lecturer for EE6508 Power Quality.
This 39-hour course is offered to students enrolled in the NTU EEE MSc Power Engineering Programme. The course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of power quality and reliability, including the distinction between quality and reliability, key power quality phenomena and standards, transient overvoltage issues, voltage fluctuations and variations, as well as fault analysis and mitigation techniques. Students will also explore the relationships between power disturbances and practical engineering solutions. By integrating technical, economic, and sustainability perspectives, the course prepares students to contribute effectively to the global energy transition and decarbonization initiatives.
The successful candidate should possess extensive relevant industry experience and/or a PhD degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, preferably with specialization in Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Power Electronics. Candidates with strong academic achievements, such as outstanding PhD performance or thesis awards, will be highly regarded. A strong passion for teaching is essential, while prior experience in teaching related subjects at the postgraduate level is preferred.
