Job Description & Requirements
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Part-Time Humanities Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction. The ideal candidate will be confident teaching in both English and Chinese, and experienced with international school curricula such as IB, IPC, Cambridge, or similar frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Humanities subjects to support students knowledge and analytical thinking.
- Design and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons aligned with IB, IPC, Cambridge, or equivalent curricula.
- Support students development in reading, writing, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with varying English and academic proficiency levels.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with students and parents regarding progress and expectations.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain accurate academic records.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive planning and consistent learning outcomes.
- Assist students with coursework, project work, exam preparation, and long-term skill-building.
- Create a supportive and motivating learning environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Humanities (History | Geography | Economics), Education, or related field.
- Ability to teach effectively in both English and Chinese.
- Strong knowledge of the chosen subject area(s).
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction for learners of diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IB PYP/MYP/DP Humanities or Cambridge Humanities subjects.
- Familiarity with bilingual or dual-language teaching environments.
- Prior tutoring or international school teaching experience.
