The Part-Time Catering Assistant (Card Swipe) is a key customer touchpoint at the point-of-sale, responsible for managing access-card meal redemptions and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and friendly transaction process for all diners. This role embodies the warm, welcoming spirit of the workplace dining experience.
- Operate card-swipe access systems for corporate meal redemption at designated entry/service points
- Greet every diner warmly and facilitate an efficient, queue-friendly transaction experience
- Assist diners with system queries or access issues, escalating technical faults to the supervisor
- Monitor and manage queue flow at card-swipe stations during peak meal periods
- Coordinate with the service team to communicate capacity or flow issues on the floor
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the card-swipe station
- Record any discrepancies or system errors and report to the Catering Executive
- Provide basic information on daily menu offerings to incoming diners
- Support FOH setup and breakdown tasks before and after service as directed
- Adhere to all security, data, and access protocols related to the card-swipe system
