Join a growing timber trading company as a Bookkeeper, where you will manage financial records and support business expansion through accurate accounting and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain full set accounts to deliver accurate financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Process and reconcile bank transactions to maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records
- Submit GST filings accurately and punctually to comply with regulatory requirements
- Generate and manage invoicing to support timely billing and optimize cash flow management
- Organize and maintain financial documentation to facilitate audit readiness and enhance operational efficiency
- Utilize Xero Accounting Software to record, track, and manage financial data effectively
- Apply Microsoft Excel skills to analyze financial information and support detailed reporting needs
- Identify and resolve accounting issues independently by demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness
- Work autonomously to meet deadlines and sustain smooth business operations without direct supervision
- Engage in continuous learning to deepen understanding of the timber industry's unique trading environment
- Participate in company-organized courses to enhance professional skills and industry knowledge
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience preparing full set accounts in a bookkeeping role
- Experience handling bank transactions
- Knowledge of Xero Accounting Software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Willingness to learn and adapt within a specialized timber trading business environment
