About the Role
Artify Studio is looking for a passionate and dedicated part-time art instructor to join our team. You'll be working with children and teens (ages 7-16), instilling in them a love for learning and art-making, as well as building their creative confidence. Each instructor is assigned a maximum of four students (1:4 ratio), ensuring meaningful engagement and personalised teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching painting and drawing techniques (acrylic, charcoal, watercolour)
- Adapting lessons to suit individual learning styles and developmental stages
- Foster a love for art-making and build students creative confidence
- Basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and conducive studio environment
- Photo-taking of students artwork for progress monitoring
- Basic administrative duties like attendance-taking
- Keep up-to-date on studio operational updates
- Communicate regularly with the Team Manager and students parents on students individual progress and development
Job Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of teaching experience, ideally with children and/or teens
- Proficient in acrylic, charcoal, and watercolour techniques
- Patient, empathetic, and comfortable working children and/or teens
- Mature, responsible, and able to work independently
- Curious, adaptable, and solution-oriented
- Singaporeans and PRs only
- Available to work once a week, on Saturdays
Bonus
- Able to work on Sundays (half day)
- Experience with other mediums like clay, oil painting, gouache, or pencil drawing
- Able to speak an additional Asian language
- Diploma or Degree in Fine Arts
