We are seeking a hands-on Part-Time Accountant with approximately 3 years of relevant accounting experience to support the finance function of a growing group of companies.
The candidate must be able to perform full set accounting independently, handle day-to-day accounting work, and assist in financial reporting, compliance, and administrative finance matters.
This role requires a detail-oriented, responsible, and practical individual who is willing to be involved in actual accounting work and not limited to supervisory duties.
Key Responsibilities
1. Full Set of Accounts (Hands-on)
- Maintain full set of accounts for one or more companies
- Perform bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Maintain general ledger, AR, AP, and bank records
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents
2. Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
- Issue invoices and receipts
- Process supplier invoices and payments
- Monitor outstanding receivables
- Follow up on overdue balances
- Maintain proper filing of supporting documents
3. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly / quarterly financial reports
- Assist in preparation of year-end accounts
- Assist auditors during audit
- Prepare audit schedules
- Prepare supporting documents for audit / tax
4. Compliance (Singapore)
- Assist with GST reporting (if applicable)
- Assist with corporate tax schedules
- Maintain proper accounting records
- Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretary
5. Group / Multi-Company Work (if applicable)
- Handle accounts for multiple related companies
- Record intercompany transactions
- Maintain loan / director / related party schedules
- Assist in consolidation (if required)
6. Administrative / Finance Support
- Maintain proper documentation
- Organise accounting files
- Assist with bank matters if required
- Assist with internal reporting requested by management
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, is a must
- Minimum 3 years hands-on accounting experience
- Must be able to handle full set of accounts independently
- Experience with accounting software (MYOB / Xero / QuickBooks / similar)
- Familiar with Singapore accounting practices
- Responsible, careful, and detail-oriented
- Able to work part-time with minimal supervision
- Willing to perform actual accounting work (not supervisory only)
Working Arrangement
- Permanent Part-time position
- Flexible hours / days (to be agreed)
- 20 - 24 hours per week
