We are looking for competent and dedicated Paralegals to join our Family & Divorce team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings.
Act as a liaison between all parties, including courts and other stakeholders, for scheduling and information sharing.
Organize and manage documents, including creating spreadsheets and retrieval systems.
Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents, as well as respond to discovery requests.
Assist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings.
Summarize deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits.
Conduct factual research using in-house files and external reference sources.
Compile information and prepare statistics, charts, and other summaries.
Prepare affidavits, legal correspondence, and other documents for lawyers.
Organize and maintain paper and electronic filing systems.
Meet with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to discuss case details.
Investigate case facts and laws, search public records, and analyze legal materials to support case preparation.
Gather and analyze statutes, case law, legal articles, and other data.
Job Requirements:
Diploma in Law or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of substantive experience as a paralegal in family litigation.
Strong multitasking and organisational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin, as the firm deals extensively with clients from China.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
A team player with a positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
