Location: Havelock
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation, formatting, and filing of family law documents, including Originating Summonses, Affidavits, Interim Applications, and Draft Orders
- Manage e-litigation filing and submissions through the eLitigation system
- Coordinate court dates, client appointments, and mediation sessions
- Maintain and organise client files and legal documentation (both digital and physical)
- Handle correspondence with clients, court staff, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders
- Prepare bundles of documents for hearings and submissions (e.g., Bundle of Documents, Bundle of Authorities)
- Monitor case timelines, deadlines, and ensure compliance with court directions
- Perform legal research under supervision, where needed
- Provide administrative support such as answering calls, billing support, and file management
Requirements:
- Diploma in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or relevant certification
- At least 1-3 years of experience working in a Singapore law firm, preferably in Family Law
- Proficient in the eLitigation system and familiar with Singapore Family Justice Courts procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters concurrently
- Good command of English (spoken and written) ability to draft clear and professional correspondence
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to client confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with law practice management software
- Experience preparing divorce applications, maintenance and custody applications, PPOs, and other related family matters
- Familiarity with the Family Justice Rules
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
