The Role
To provide palliative care nursing to cancer patients under Oncology Clinical Program.
Key accountabilities
- To provide efficient & timely palliative nursing care for inpatients, outpatients and home care service under Parkway Cancer Centre
- To ensure continuity of care from inpatients to home care setting
- To coordinate home care support and discharge planning to patient's home or to hospice care
- To provide education on pain relieve management and end of life care
- To provide basic psycho-emotional support for patients and their families throughout end of life and be able to identify need for referral to counselors
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Nursing, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar job position and department
- Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board
- Specialist diploma in Palliative Care Nursing or prior experience in homecare settings would be an advantage
- Mon-Fri: 8.30am to 5.30pm, Alternate Sat: 8.30am - 12.30pm
