Job Summary
Lead store operations to drive sales growth, manage profitability, and deliver excellent customer service. Recruit, develop, and coach teams to foster a high-performance culture while overseeing inventory control and loss prevention to ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets through effective sales strategies
- Manage store-level profitability by monitoring gross margin, discounts, markdowns, shrinkage, and operating expenses
- Implement and optimise sales initiatives, promotions
- Produce timely sales and KPI reports and recommend actionable plans to improve performance
- Recruit, train, and develop store management and sales teams to build a customer-centric, high-performance culture
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and develop career plans for staff
- Construct staff schedules, manage payroll budgets, and ensure adequate staffing during peak periods
- Ensure all staff deliver excellent in-store customer service consistently
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, transfers, and cycle counts to minimise stockouts and overstock
- Maintain loss prevention programmes and ensure compliance with cash handling, POS, and security procedures
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- More than 10 years retail experience
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store P&L
- Strong leadership, people-management, and coaching skills
- Good commercial acumen and understanding of visual merchandising, CRM, and inventory systems
- Customer-first mindset and high standards for retail execution
- Results-oriented, entrepreneurial, and proactive approach
- Analytical, organised, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
