What does the job consist
Job Description for OM Technicians:
Scope of work:
- Execute planning and logistics activities as defined within the scope of work.
- Participate in materials planning processes to site.
- Plan and coordinate the daily start schedules for local manufacturing lines.
- Segregate products in accordance with instruction from relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and workgroups.
Perfect Order Fulfillment
- Ensure the availability of bulk materials for all manufacturing lines starts.
- Ensure on time starts and collaborate with key interfaces to ensure optimal wafer cycle time and on-time delivery to customers.
Weekly Operational Planning
- Participate in weekly operational planning meetings to align activities across sites.
- Response and react to the change to ensure manufacturing lines efficiency.
- Plan and coordinate ad hoc material requests in alignment with the weekly operational schedule.
Delivery Scheduling
- Analyze forecast based on requirements, inventory level and advise on timeline for material request from warehouse.
- Liaise with Engineer to monitor/ expedite delivery schedule to ensure timely arrival of supplies and materials.
Documentation & Standard Operating Procedures
- Utilize and enhance reports, specifications, workflow, quality / safety related documentation.
- Execute existing workflow and documentation procedures and propose necessary improvements to ensure compliance with policies and enhance operational efficiency.
Cost Efficiency & Improvement
- Identify and propose cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop cost- awareness within the team.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and workgroups.
- Initiate & drive improvement projects; provide regular progress updates and outcomes to the Manager or Engineer.
Requirements & Qualifications
- NITEC or O / A levels with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Basic computer skills, basic knowledge of Manufacturing / Logistics process.
- Good communication skills, good team player.
- Able to work on 12-hour day shift
