Job Description – Oracle FLEXCUBE Developer / Consultant
Key Expectation (Critical)
- Candidates must have strong expertise in FLEXCUBE
- Other technical or functional expectations can be flexible, but FLEXCUBE experience is mandatory
Key Responsibilities
1. Development & Customization
- Design, develop, and customize Oracle FLEXCUBE Core Banking modules
- Work on PL/SQL, Oracle DB, Java (if applicable) for backend development
- Develop interfaces, APIs, and batch jobs
- Customize FLEXCUBE functionalities based on business requirements
2. Implementation & Support
- Participate in end-to-end FLEXCUBE implementation projects
- Provide production support and incident resolution
- Analyze and resolve functional and technical issues
- Handle patch upgrades, releases, and enhancements
3. Functional Understanding
- Strong understanding of banking domains such as:
- Retail Banking
- Corporate Banking
- Loans & Deposits
- Payments & Trade Finance
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
4. Integration & Interfaces
- Develop and maintain system integrations with:
- Payment gateways
- SWIFT interfaces
- AML/KYC systems
- Work on SOAP/REST APIs, middleware, and microservices (if applicable)
5. Testing & Documentation
- Prepare technical design documents (TDD, FSD)
- Support SIT, UAT, and production testing
- Ensure proper documentation for all developments
6. Performance & Optimization
- Optimize database queries and application performance
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
7. Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Business Analysts
- QA teams
- Infrastructure teams
- Participate in agile ceremonies (if project uses Agile)
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in:
- Oracle FLEXCUBE (Core Banking)
- Oracle DB, PL/SQL
- Unix/Linux environment
- Knowledge of:
- Java (preferred but optional)
- API integration (REST/SOAP)
- Banking data models
Functional Skills
- Understanding of banking operations:
- CASA (Current & Savings Account)
- Lending systems
- Payments processing
- Knowledge of compliance, KYC, AML (good to have)
Tools & Technologies
- Oracle SQL Developer / TOAD
- FLEXCUBE modules (e.g., FCUBS, OBPM, OBCL)
- Version control systems (Git, SVN)
- Middleware tools (optional)
Experience Required
- 10–20 years of experience in Core Banking / FLEXCUBE
- Experience in implementation / support projects
- Banking domain experience preferred
