As an Oracle EBS Finance Principal Functional Consultant, you will serve as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor across the Oracle E-Business Suite Financials landscape. This role requires deep functional expertise in EBS Finance modules, combined with a strong technical background to support integrations, customizations, and modernization initiatives.
You will work independently on complex projects involving solution design, implementation, integrations, and production support. You will also guide the overall functional direction for Finance, ensure best practices adoption, and support business stakeholders in achieving high levels of system stability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Lead and execute complex Oracle EBS Finance implementations, enhancements, and support activities.
- Drive end-to-end solutioning across core finance processes including Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash.
- Perform fit-gap analysis, business process mapping, and solution design aligned with EBS best practices.
- Provide expert-level support for critical finance issues, root cause analysis, and functional escalations.
- Work closely with technical teams on CEMLIs, integrations, data migrations, and reporting.
- Support and guide EBS upgrades (12.1 to 12.2+), patching, and regulatory/localization updates.
- Engage senior stakeholders to define finance roadmaps, optimization strategies, and future-state architecture.
- Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
What You'll Have
- Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle E-Business Suite Financials implementations and support.
- Proven experience in the following modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management (CM), Fixed Assets (FA), Subledger Accounting (SLA), Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) (added advantage), E-Business Tax (EBTax) (added advantage), Strong understanding of multi-org, multi-ledger, intercompany, and statutory reporting setups.
- Strong understanding of EBS end-to-end finance flows and cross-module dependencies.
- Ability to work on CEMLI/RICEFW objects including interfaces, reports, conversions, and extensions.
- Experience working with EBS APIs, Open Interfaces, Web Services, REST/SOAP-based integrations.
- Ability to prepare high-quality functional and technical specifications.
- Strong exposure to data migration, reconciliation, and validation activities.
- Experience supporting BI Publisher, XML Publisher, and custom financial reports.
- Strong debugging, issue analysis, and resolution skills in collaboration with technical teams.
- Experience leading full lifecycle EBS Finance implementations, rollouts, or major upgrades.
- Ability to work independently in a customer-facing onsite role.
- Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia (Malay) is mandatory for effective onsite engagement with local users and leadership.
- Experience working in global delivery models.
- Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Strong documentation, presentation, and workshop facilitation skills.
