Intermediate Oracle EBS consultant ICBS
INTERNATIONAL CORE BANKING sYSTEM
As an Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Techno-Functional Consultant to join our CCS Department, in charge of the International Core Banking System (ICBS) of Credit Agricole CIB. This information system is deployed in 26 entities around the world. The main features of this information system consist of payments & cash management, loans & deposits, international trade finance, guarantees, general expenses, reference data, limit and risk related systems.
The department is in charge of the core applications used by various departments in the bank: back offices, finance & accounting, and compliance & risks.
The ideal candidate should have a strong mix of technical and functional skills to support, enhance, and implement Oracle EBS financial modules. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to analyse requirements, configure solutions, and develop custom enhancements where necessary.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions within Oracle EBS.
- Provide techno-functional support for General Ledger (GL), Payables (AP), and Fixed Assets (FA) modules.
- Develop and modify reports, forms, and interfaces using PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, XML Publisher, Workflow, and Oracle APIs.
- Configure and troubleshoot EBS Financials modules, including period closing, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
- Support end-users by resolving issues, optimizing processes, and providing training on Oracle EBS functionalities.
- Perform system enhancements, customizations, and integrations with data warehouse and referential systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and operations, to streamline financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and company policies in financial system configurations.
- Participate in EBS upgrades, patches, and testing cycles, ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Write Unix/Linux shell scripts for automation, batch jobs, and system monitoring.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports, and Workflow Builder.
- Experience with Oracle APIs, interfaces, and data migration for financial transactions.
- Functional expertise in financial accounting, period-end processing, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving EBS application and database issues.
- Understanding of integration with sub-ledgers and third-party applications.
- Experience with Oracle R12.
- Oracle EBS R12 certification in Finance modules (added advantage).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployment and management of applications (added advantage).
- Understanding of Data Warehouse architectures, ETL processes, and data modeling (added advantage).
Qualification
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Oracle EBS Financials with a focus on GL, AP, and FA modules.
