About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Engineer for a short-term engagement to support our ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database management, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and ensuring the stability and availability of Oracle databases in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Oracle database environments.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
- Handle database backup, recovery, and migration activities.
- Implement security best practices for database systems.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support project deliverables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues within agreed SLAs.
- Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) as an Oracle Database Engineer/Administrator.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database (12c/19c).
- Hands-on experience with backup/recovery tools (RMAN, Data Pump).
- Skilled in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with database migration and patching activities.
- Good knowledge of high availability solutions (RAC, Data Guard).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
