about the job

As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as a software detective, providing a dynamic service by identifying and solving complex issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will be expected to perform independently and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME), bridging the gap between legacy Oracle systems and modern web-based frameworks.

• Strategic Troubleshooting: Actively identify, diagnose, and solve intricate issues within critical business system components.

• Oracle ADF Development: Build and maintain web-based enterprise applications using Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF).

• System Modernization: Support and modernize legacy Oracle applications, ensuring seamless integration with newer digital platforms.

• Performance Engineering: Analyze system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies.

• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance system functionality and participate actively in technical team discussions.

• Middleware Management: Deploy and troubleshoot applications within environments using WebLogic or equivalent Oracle middleware technologies.

• Governance & Documentation: Document troubleshooting processes and solutions for future reference while providing training to team members on system updates.

skills and experience required

• Technical Mastery: Strong proficiency in Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports development (including triggers, built-ins, libraries, and runtime configuration).

• Framework Expertise: Intermediate hands-on proficiency in Oracle ADF is mandatory for this role.

• Database Programming: Solid expertise in PL/SQL, Oracle Database schema design, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning.

• IT Troubleshooting: Proven experience in application remediation, engineering support, and structured IT troubleshooting.

• SDLC Knowledge: Good understanding of SDLC, Agile practices, and structured testing methodologies.

• Middleware Experience: Practical experience with WebLogic or equivalent Oracle middleware for application deployment.

• Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive issue resolution rather than basic operations.
