Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
- Diagnose refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, including spectacles and contact lenses related to orthokeratology
- Provide expert advice on visual health, eye care, and preventive measures.
- Perform tests for binocular vision, color vision, and ocular motility.
- Manage and monitor patients with chronic eye conditions, referring them to ophthalmologists when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry and eye care technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in using optometric equipment and software.
Requirements:
- Registered with Optometrist and Optician Board (OOB)
- Experience in specialty orthokeratology (ortho-k) is required
- Able to work on weekends are preferred
- Passionate, friendly and cheerful disposition
- Proactive and responsible
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
- For senior role, the minimum working experience is 5 years
