As our business continues to expand, we are seeking Full-Time Optics Engineer/ Optical Application Support Engineer to help grow our market presence, support our customers, and strengthen our digital initiatives.
About the Role
We are looking for a committed and technically skilled Optics Engineer/ Optical Application Support Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will support both our sales team and customers through application testing, technical consulting, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main technical point of contact for internal teams and customers, responding to inquiries about our optical products via phone, email, and in person.
- Advise customers on product specifications, applications, and capabilities.
- Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting tailored to customer requirements.
- Work closely with our Singapore headquarters to provide feedback on product launches and develop technical materials.
- Support customer visits together with sales colleagues, offering expert technical guidance.
- Assist with preparing quotations and processing orders as needed.
- Contribute to internal projects that enhance efficiency and service standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Physics, Optics, or a related field).
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience however, candidates with strong technical potential but limited experience are welcome to apply.
- Experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks).
- Familiarity with optical alignment techniques and considerations for thermal and vibration control in sensitive assemblies.
- Hands-on experience in optical alignment and integration is highly advantageous.
- Solid understanding of optical-mechanical interfaces.
- Meticulous attention to detail for engineering documentation and system integration.
- Ability to work effectively across optical, electronics, and systems engineering teams.
- Proactive approach to troubleshooting and supporting field deployments.
- Strong analytical skills in both laboratory and field environments.
