You'll work hands-on with technologies including Ciena, Infinera, and Huawei, troubleshooting complex optical, dark fibre, and subsea connectivity issues while helping maintain the availability and performance of mission-critical hyperscale infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support large-scale DWDM and optical transport infrastructure
- Troubleshoot faults across DWDM systems, optical hardware, fibre infrastructure, and transport networks
- Diagnose and resolve issues across Ciena, Infinera, Huawei, and similar optical platforms
- Perform structured fault isolation across optical paths, circuits, wavelengths, and physical fibre infrastructure
- Troubleshoot dark fibre connectivity, including fibre degradation, loss, breaks, and physical connectivity issues
- Support the investigation and resolution of subsea network and connectivity issues
- Perform optical troubleshooting using relevant measurements, alarms, performance data, and diagnostic tools
- Support circuit provisioning, turn-up, testing, validation, and restoration activities
- Troubleshoot optical components including transponders, amplifiers, ROADMs, mux/demux equipment, and line systems
- Manage incidents in line with SLAs, ensuring timely resolution, escalation, and communication
