Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Gas Support division in Singapore. As an Operator, you will work alongside and support our experienced Brokers and Operators across a range of operational and administrative activities relating to VLGC vessel operations.

The ideal candidate may have 1-2 years of experience in shipping operations or logistics, and should possess strong interpersonal skills, a proactive and self-motivated attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic broking environment. We also welcome applications from motivated fresh graduates with a keen interest in the maritime and gas shipping industry.

Your role will involve working closely with Charterers, Owners, Brokers, and internal stakeholders to support the smooth coordination of vessel operations, ensure timely communication and flow of information, and maintain accurate operational documentation. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn will be important in ensuring effective collaboration among all parties involved.

What you'll be doing

  • Liaise with brokers, counterparties, owners, and charterers on operational matters relating to vessels and cargoes
  • Support the team in monitoring vessel itineraries and operational schedules
  • Assist in checking and maintaining operational documentation, including recaps and charter party-related documents
  • Input and maintain accurate operational data within internal systems
  • Coordinate and follow up on load/discharge documentation and operational updates
  • Assist in ensuring operational timelines and declarations are properly tracked and communicated
  • Support invoicing and documentation processes, including freight, hire, and commission-related matters
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure smooth operational coordination
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the broking team as required
  • Assist with additional ad hoc duties to support business needs

Other requirements

  • 1 to 2 years experience in a shipping, maritime, or logistics environment would be advantageous
  • Fresh graduates with a keen interest in shipping operations are welcome to apply
  • Previous operator experience would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in Mandarin or other Asian languages would be advantageous to support communication with regional clients
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Flexible and adaptable, including willingness to support business needs outside regular office hours where required
