Job Summary

To support us in this high-priority function, we are looking for a talented and experienced professional to be based in our Singapore HQ to take on the role of:

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify a full set of shipping documents in compliance with Letters of Credit and contractual requirements to ensure timely negotiation and shipment processing
• Manage and coordinate shipments by bulk vessels to meet operational and contractual deadlines
• Collaborate closely with the Team Head, Traders, Origination desks, and Shipping desk to align shipping operations with business objectives
• Supervise and coordinate daily operations activities to maintain efficiency and compliance
• Provide leadership and hands-on guidance to the team in executing high-risk, large-value contracts, ensuring risk mitigation and contract adherence

Required competencies and certifications

• Demonstrated intensive experience applying ICC rules for Letters of Credit to manage international trade transactions effectively

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum GCE A level or Diploma in International Trade in Import & Export or related field
• 4 to 6 years of experience in an Agri-Business or Trading Company, preferably dealing with soft commodities
• Proficient communication skills to facilitate clear and effective stakeholder engagement
• Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel to support documentation and reporting tasks
• Knowledge of GAFTA and FOSFA trade associations to enhance contract and trade compliance
• Understanding of Incoterms and international trade principles to support shipping and contractual processes
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, analytical thinking, and independent problem-solving abilities
