Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Team Lead to oversee daily operations, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. This role involves leading a team, managing risks, and delivering high-quality services in a fast-paced banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely service delivery
  • Supervise, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance targets and foster a high-performance culture
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures
  • Identify, assess, and manage operational risks, including escalation of issues when required
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation, automation, and digitalisation
  • Handle customer issues, complaints, and queries, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution
  • Plan and support audits, ensuring timely follow-up on findings and implementation of corrective actions
  • Track team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements where necessary
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of objectives
  • Ensure adequate staffing, resource planning, and effective deployment of team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in banking operations or a related field
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Good understanding of operational risk, controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and manage change
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
