We are seeking an experienced Operations Team Lead to oversee daily operations, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. This role involves leading a team, managing risks, and delivering high-quality services in a fast-paced banking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely service delivery
- Supervise, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance targets and foster a high-performance culture
- Monitor and ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures
- Identify, assess, and manage operational risks, including escalation of issues when required
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation, automation, and digitalisation
- Handle customer issues, complaints, and queries, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution
- Plan and support audits, ensuring timely follow-up on findings and implementation of corrective actions
- Track team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements where necessary
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of objectives
- Ensure adequate staffing, resource planning, and effective deployment of team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- At least 8-10 years of experience in banking operations or a related field
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good understanding of operational risk, controls, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and manage change
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
