Job Description

Role Overview

This role is designed for individuals who want to build and run a business, not just hold a job.

You will work directly with/or on behalf of the founder across all aspects of the business-from operations and systems to on-the-ground execution across multiple outlets and business lines/division of the founder. The environment is fast-paced, demanding, and requires a high level of ownership.

This is not a typical corporate role. Candidates should expect a steep learning curve, high accountability, and exposure to real business challenges on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Leadership & Execution

  • Take full ownership of daily outlet operations, including sales performance, cost control, and execution standards

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the outlet across all functions

  • Step in operationally when required (from cashiering, waitering, cooking to washing of dishes), including during peak periods, manpower shortages, or operational issues

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and customer experience

2. Systems & Process Optimisation

  • Develop and improve systems for inventory management, reporting, and cost tracking

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement practical, scalable solutions

  • Drive automation and productivity improvements using tools such as robotic solutions, AI or other relevant technologies

  • Work with external vendors on POS, IT systems, renovations, equipment purchase and integrations

3. Financial & Performance Management

  • Monitor and manage outlet-level P&L performance

  • Track key metrics including revenue, food cost, labour efficiency, and wastage

  • Implement cost control measures and improve operational margins

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting

4. Business Execution & Growth

  • Work directly with the founder on business initiatives, expansion plans, and operational improvements

  • Support new outlet setup, process standardisation, and scaling efforts

  • Execute tasks end-to-end, from planning through to on-the-ground implementation

  • Handle ambiguity and make decisions in real time

Work Environment & Expectations (Please Read Carefully)

  • This is a high-commitment role, not a fixed-hours job

  • Work hours will vary based on operational needs and may regularly extend beyond standard office hours

  • Weekends and public holidays are part of the operating cycle

  • The role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on involvement, including stepping into operational duties when needed

  • Candidates should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

This role is closer to running the business alongside the founder than a traditional employee position.

Performance & Accountability

  • This is a performance-driven role, with evaluation tied directly to outlet results

  • Clear KPIs will be set across sales, cost control, and operational efficiency

  • Performance will be reviewed regularly, with progression and continued fit in the role dependent on delivery of results

  • A performance-based incentive structure will reward strong contributions to outlet profitability and growth

Requirements

  • Degree in IT, Business, or a related field

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability

  • Comfortable working in a hands-on F&B environment when required

  • High level of ownership, resilience, and adaptability

  • Ability to work independently and execute with minimal supervision

  • Willingness to commit to the demands of a growing business
