Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and handson Operations Shift Team Leader / Team Coordinator to ensure the smooth, safe and efficient execution of all terminal operations. This role leads daytoday activities including truck operations, drumming, tank cleaning, emergency response and process control, while managing manpower, compliance and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Terminal Operations

  • Oversee safe and efficient truck, drumming and tankcleaning operations.
  • Lead troubleshooting, incident investigations and resolution of abnormal observations.
  • Serve as Site Main Controller (SMC) for after-hours emergencies.
  • Guide the team in process control, plant recovery and emergency response procedures.
  • Manage terminal inventory systems and support plant shutdowns, turnarounds and planned maintenance.
  • Coordinate daily permittowork and support inspections and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure daily compliance with VF requirements and drive continuous improvement in terminal performance.
  • Mentor team members, uphold discipline and strengthen operational excellence.

Manpower Administration & Scheduling

  • Manage daily manpower planning, workflow scheduling and interdepartmental communication.
  • Conduct effective shift briefings and ensure timely relay of management objectives.
  • Ensure all team members complete mandatory training and maintain operational competency.
  • Support commissioning of new/rehabilitated facilities and manage contractor coordination.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Prepare for and manage external and internal audits (ISO, safety, regulatory, customer).
  • Uphold Terminal SHEQ and VF compliance for employees and contractors.
  • Fulfill responsibilities as PFSO, WorkatHeight Supervisor and PermittoWork approver.

Customer Expectations

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Deliver service commitments and address customer requirements promptly.
  • Participate in Operations Review meetings and manage complaints and inquiries effectively.

Training & Supervision

  • Train, coach and develop team members on operational competency and performance improvements.
  • Conduct performance reviews, JCP assessments and support competency gap closure.
  • Mentor technicians and contractors; support talent and succession planning.
  • Encourage a positive, adaptable team culture aligned with company direction.

People Management (Team Leader level)

  • Motivate, manage and develop staff within the terminal operations department.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong handson knowledge of terminal operations and sitespecific processes.
  • Expertise in SHE, emergency response and environmental/safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiparty communication and operate under pressure.
  • Experience in gas, petroleum or petrochemical operations is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of terminal operations experience in a similar industry.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a team coordinator.
  • At least 3 GCE O Level credits (including Science) OR NITEC OR Diploma in Chemical Process Technology.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
