Job Description

This role is responsible in providing operational leadership to the multidisciplinary team at the Radiation and/or Medical Oncology Site, complying with legislative/governing standards, and driving strategic business objectives.

Job Description

  • Lead, coordinate and oversee all operational aspects of the healthcare facility to ensure the site is effective and efficient in the delivery of quality care to patients.
  • Understand the local network's (including patients, referrals, suppliers, business partners and Doctors) expectations and needs from entry/admission through to discharge or transfer of patients to build effective relationships, address service delivery issues and implement solutions promptly.
  • Partner with and be the first point of contact for consultants working on site and oncology specialist more broadly to develop collaborative and supportive relationships.
  • Responsibility for the site based financial results including:
  • Preparation and ownership of the annual site budget, including the capital and facility maintenance budgets and business plans required by management;
  • Approval and escalation of patient accounts.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Manager to drive the commercial development of the business including taking ownership of promotion of the site and services, delivering on agreed strategic priorities, and identifying, pursuing and securing opportunities for increased volume and revenue.
  • Lead the implementation and evaluation of clinical governance and risk management plans to ensure the site practices are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • In consultation with the team members at the site, act on all reported incidents, stakeholder feedback, hazards and maintenance issues including developing plans for improvement and innovation in service delivery.
  • Manage the accreditation process at the site by ensuring the implementation of recommendations; monitoring and evaluation of audits; documentation and implementation of quality improvement plans and projects.
  • Review policies, procedures, protocols and manuals to ensure the sites performance reflects best practice and facilitates optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 5 years of experience in operational management or related roles within the healthcare, preferably in a oncology specialized setting.
  • Ability to lead and engage with team members in the delivery of safe and quality healthcare services in a highly regulated and dynamic environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
