Role Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for making sure the business runs smoothly, efficiently, and reliably across day-to-day operations. This person oversees internal processes, staff coordination, inventory movement, logistics, timelines, and execution standards to ensure the company delivers consistently at a high level.

This role is not just about keeping things moving. It is about building structure, solving operational problems early, and making sure the team can execute without chaos.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Operations Management

• Oversee daily operational flow across retail, logistics, events, and internal coordination

• Ensure all departments are aligned on priorities, timelines, and responsibilities

• Identify operational bottlenecks and solve them before they escalate

• Maintain smooth communication between leadership and execution teams

2. Process Building and Improvement

• Create, refine, and enforce operational SOPs

• Improve workflows to increase efficiency, accountability, and speed

• Build systems that reduce errors, missed tasks, and unnecessary delays

• Ensure the company is operationally scalable as the business grows

3. Team Coordination and Accountability

• Manage execution across staff and departments

• Follow up on delegated tasks and ensure deadlines are met

• Hold team members accountable to expected standards

• Support manpower planning, scheduling, and role clarity

4. Inventory, Logistics, and Fulfilment

• Oversee stock movement, logistics flow, and fulfilment accuracy

• Work closely with retail and logistics teams to ensure operational readiness

• Monitor inventory-related risks, discrepancies, or fulfilment issues

• Ensure operational support for launches, restocks, and special releases

5. Event and Activation Operations

• Support planning and execution of events, activations, and launches

• Coordinate ground operations, manpower, setup, contingency planning, and post-event breakdown

• Ensure event execution is organised, timely, and aligned with brand standards

• Troubleshoot live operational issues calmly and effectively

6. Reporting and Performance Oversight

• Track operational KPIs, team delivery, and workflow efficiency

• Provide regular updates to leadership on operational health and risks

• Recommend improvements based on recurring issues and performance trends

• Maintain visibility over outstanding tasks, blockers, and resource gaps

Requirements

• Proven experience in operations, project management, retail operations, logistics, or business administration

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

• Able to manage multiple moving parts without losing attention to detail

• Comfortable leading people and enforcing standards

• Clear communicator with the ability to coordinate across different personalities and functions

• Able to stay calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly

• Experience in events, retail, or fast-moving consumer environments is a plus
