Job Title: Operations Manager

Job Summary
The Operations Manager has a key role in infrastructure and logistics management, as well as upholding and maintaining the safety and security of the school. This role ensures that systems, resources, and services are effectively managed to support students with special needs, enabling educators and therapists to focus on delivering high-quality education and care. The Operations Manager works closely with school leadership to maintain compliance with Singapore regulations and to create a safe, inclusive, and efficient learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Logistics Management
- Oversee day-to-day school operations and provide logistical support for school activities, meetings and events
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and workflows
- Ensure efficient allocation and utilisation of school resources
2. Facilities & Safety Management
- Manage school facilities, ensuring accessibility and safety for staff and students with diverse needs
- Supervise and manage the maintenance, repairs, renovations, cleaning, and security services
- Ensure school compliance with health, hygiene and safety regulations and implement school safety protocols including emergency preparedness and evacuation plans
- Provide staff training on safe equipment and product usage to maintain hygiene and safety
3. Procurement & Contract Management
- Manage budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective operations
- Oversee procurement processes of operating supplies, materials, equipment & services, including vendor selection and contract management
- Ensure proper documentation for contract and payment in line with audit requirements
- Manage contractors and track projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion
4. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with relevant Singapore regulations (e.g. MOE, MSF, NCSS, NEA guidelines where applicable)
- Maintain proper documentation for audits, inspections, and reporting requirements
- Support risk management and internal control processes
5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Manage and monitor performance of external vendors and service providers
- Support partnerships with community organisations and government agencies
- Address operational queries from staff, parents, and stakeholders
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Facilities, Hospitality or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in operations or facilities management
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations in educational or similar settings
- Possess certification as a Fire Safety Manager (FSM) or meet the entry requirements for FSM course
