About the Role
A growing fuel retail operator with an expanding network of service stations across Singapore is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead site operations and drive performance across multiple locations. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in running tight, well-managed operations.
What You Will Be Doing
Station Operations
- Take ownership of daily operations across multiple service stations, maintaining consistent service quality and operational standards
- Carry out regular site visits, identify gaps, and implement practical corrective measures
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to assess and roll out new operational initiatives
- Oversee traffic and queue management in line with local authority requirements
People & Manpower
- Plan staffing levels across sites to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods without unnecessary cost
- Manage scheduling, rostering, and ensure full compliance with Singapore's Progressive Wage Model
- Handle end-to-end people matters including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and day-to-day HR administration for frontline teams
- Build a positive and stable team culture across all sites
Safety, Compliance & Licensing
- Take full ownership of station licensing and regulatory compliance across all relevant categories
- Chair regular safety meetings and lead a proactive safety culture through hazard identification and near-miss reporting
- Keep all documentation, equipment records, and station standards inspection-ready at all times
- Serve as the primary point of contact during government or regulatory inspections
What We Are Looking For
Must have:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience running a petrol station, fuel retail outlet, or multi-outlet F&B or convenience retail operation
- Proven track record managing frontline teams including hiring, rostering, and performance management
- Solid understanding of workplace safety and HSSE requirements in Singapore
- Valid Class 3 or 3A driving license
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools
Good to have:
- Prior dealings with Singapore regulatory authorities such as EMA, SCDF, NEA, or LTA
- Hands-on familiarity with forecourt equipment or fuel dispensing systems
- Experience with fuel management or POS systems
