We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Manager to join our Dry Bulk Shipbroking team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full post-fixture cycle ensuring the efficient and profitable execution of charter parties while maintaining strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all post-fixture operations for time charter and voyage charter contracts across the dry bulk segment (Handy to Capesize).
- Coordinate with shipowners, charterers, agents, and masters to ensure smooth cargo operations and adherence to charter party terms.
- Monitor vessel schedules, port rotations, laytime, and demurrage/despatch calculations; prepare and negotiate laytime statements.
- Track vessel performance, bunker consumption, and voyage profitability, identifying cost and time optimisation opportunities.
- Handle documentation including voyage orders, NORs, SOFs, Bills of Lading, and Letters of Indemnity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping Management, or Business.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in dry bulk operations or post-fixture management within a shipbroking or shipowning company.
- Sound understanding of charter party terms, voyage calculations, and laytime analysis.
- Proven track record in managing complex global shipping operations efficiently and cost-effectively.
