Our client is looking for an Operations Manager to be part of their Dry Bulk Shipping team. The ideal candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day operations for assigned dry bulk vessels, ensuring smooth voyage execution.
- Monitor vessel performance and support cost-effective operational planning.
- Liaise closely with charterers, vessel owners, brokers, agents, and other stakeholders on operational matters.
- Coordinate bunker requirements, voyage schedules, and port activities.
- Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with charter party agreements and regulatory guidelines.
- Resolve operational issues promptly to minimise disruptions to voyages.
- Prepare and maintain accurate operational reports and documentation.
Key Requirements:
- Min. 5 years of experience in dry bulk vessel operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies or related field.
- Good understanding of dry bulk shipping operations and commercial practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
