Operations Manager / Controller

Location: Changi
Working Hours: 8:30AM to 5:30PM
AWS + VB + Allowance

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to lead our daily trucking operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a controller within the transportation industry, with exposure to working with PSA and managing operational coordination. This role requires someone who can oversee operations, manage fleet and drivers, and ensure efficient, timely delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily trucking operations, including job allocation, route planning, and coordination with drivers, customers, and depots

2. Monitor vessel schedules and container movements to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays

3. Manage fleet utilization and capacity, including engagement of external hauliers when required

4. Maintain job records and support billing for operational activities

5. Supervise drivers and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements

6. Track operational performance and identify areas for improvement

7. Support cost control initiatives and improve efficiency in routing, scheduling, and resource utilization

8. Handle operational issues and ensure timely resolution

9. Maintain relationships with clients and partners, and support business growth initiatives- Perform ad hoc duties as required

Requirements:

1. Minimally 2 years of relevant experience in transport operations, preferably in container haulage or trucking operations.

2. Experience with TMS / logistics systems
