To strengthen our vibrant Dry Division Operations Team in Singapore, we are currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic Operations Manager.

What are we looking for

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the daily operations of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with Charter Party terms and commercial objectives;
  • Act as the primary contact for Masters on operational matters; issue clear and accurate voyage instructions;
  • Maintain vessel schedules and voyage updates in internal systems;
  • Coordinate loading, discharging, bunkering, and port operations in line with contractual and safety requirements;
  • Liaise with charterers, agents, technical managers, and brokers to ensure smooth execution of voyages;
  • Analyse vessel performance and handle claims related to off-hire, speed, consumption, cargo, or damages;
  • Analyse and arrange payment of port costs, bunker planning, and voyage-related expenses;
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and regional sailing requirements (e.g. Emission Control Areas, War Risk Zones);
  • Check, enter, and authorise for payment all invoices and debit notes for payment;
  • Prepare operational reports and ensure all communication is properly documented and in line with CMB.TECH policies;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes and support cross divisional projects.

Job Requirements

What do you bring

  • Formal education: You have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nautic Sciences or relevant work experience;
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in shipping (office or at sea);
  • Languages: fluent in English and Mandarin (both spoken and written);
  • Knowledge of Ammonia as a renewable energy source is preferred but not required;
  • Common sense and pro-active minded;
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills;
  • Self-starter and team player;
  • No 9 to 5 mentality;
  • Minimum flexibility required;
  • Customer and service oriented;
  • Computer literate;
  • Good people skills;
  • Applicants must have a valid legal right to work in Singapore. The company does not provide employment pass or visa sponsorship for this position.
