About the role
As an Operations Manager, you will lead and oversee security operations across multiple sites, ensuring service delivery meets client expectations while maintaining compliance, cost efficiency, and team performance. This role requires strong leadership, operational control, and the ability to manage both ground teams and client relationships effectively.
Key responsibilities
Operational Management
Plan, organise, and oversee daily security operations across assigned sites
Ensure all deployments meet client requirements and site SOPs
Supervise ground teams and work closely with site supervisors on rostering and discipline matters
Conduct regular site visits and spot checks to ensure service standards and officer presentation are maintained
Budgeting & Cost Control
Monitor manpower budgets, including overtime and relief deployment
Review and analyse monthly cost reports with the Assistant Operations Director
Ensure deployments remain within approved headcount and cost parameters
Support tender submissions and operational proposals with accurate ground data
Manpower Management
Partner with HR on recruitment, onboarding, and deployment of officers
Manage ground-level HR matters including performance, absenteeism, discipline, and grievances
Participate in staff evaluations, promotions, and workforce planning
Ensure officers are properly trained, certified, and compliant with PWM and regulatory requirements
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure all operations comply with PLRD licensing requirements and industry regulations
Lead internal compliance checks and support external audits
Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions
Client & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients
Attend client meetings, address concerns, and follow up on feedback
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high service standards
What we're looking for
Proven experience in security operations or similar field operations role
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Good understanding of PLRD regulations and PWM requirements
Experience managing budgets, manpower planning, and multi-site operations
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Able to work in a fast-paced, ground-driven environment
