Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily construction and project operations to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Plan, coordinate and deploy manpower, equipment, materials and other resources to meet project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity and operational performance, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, MOM requirements and company policies.
  • Lead and supervise site management teams to achieve project objectives and operational excellence.
  • Monitor project costs, operational budgets and resource utilization to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Prepare and review operational reports, project status updates and management reports.
  • Manage procurement activities, vendor negotiations and subcontractor performance to support project delivery.
  • Oversee contract administration, including contract compliance, variation orders, claims and commercial correspondence.
  • Support tender preparation, project budgeting, cost estimation and business development initiatives.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies and procedures to improve productivity, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Manage commercial matters including cost control, budget planning, project profitability and financial performance.
  • Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the construction, marine, infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of project operations, manpower planning, resource allocation and subcontractor management.
  • Familiar with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and MOM requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and operational activities concurrently.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in cost control, budgeting, procurement and contract administration will be an advantage.
  • Candidates with experience in marine construction, lifting operations, crane operations or heavy construction projects will be preferred.
