Operations Executive

Job Description & Requirements

This role involves collaborating closely with Petrochemical and LPG traders, as well as the operations team, to ensure smooth cargo operations. Key responsibilities include analyse the market in timely manner, develop and excute effective trading and hedging strategies, and reviewing contracts based on deal recaps. You will also be responsible for ensuring that trade finance and billing processes are managed effectively, updating operational data for analysis and reporting, and handling any ad-hoc tasks delegated by the trading team. Ability to perform quantitative data analysis and to program and develop visually assisted trading models.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Petrochemical and LPG traders and the operations team to ensure every cargo operation runs smoothly.
• Liaise with terminals and counterparties to ensure timely product loading.
• Review and counter contracts based on deal recaps.
• Ensure that all trade finance and billing processes are in good order.
• Check and update operational data in the system for analysis and reporting.
• Handle ad-hoc responsibilities as delegated by the trading team.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Petrochemical, Chemical, Business, Shipping, Logistics, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
• Experience in LPG operations preferred.
